Description: In this workshop, we learn about the tendency to rely on guilt as a motivation and therefore towards works as a mark of faith and maturity. This is contrasted with the Grace of God that now defines our lives.
Outcome: Participants will distinguish between being driven and being led. There will be reflection time and discussion on how to practically live in response to God’s Grace and leadership in our lives.
From Self-confidence to God Confidence

Description: We are all taught from young to find and assert ourselves. How does the Gospel of Grace and freedom confront and free us to a better way of peace, joy and destiny? This workshop helps us to move away from relying on self to learning God-reliance and God-confidence.
Outcome: Participants will be able to distinguish between self-assertion and growing to trust God’s loving provision and guidance and therefore live with more peace and conviction.
Broken Wings that Soar
Suitable For: Leaders
Duration: 2 Days 1 Night Retreat
Description: This is a retreat for leaders to regroup, rest and experience restoration. The retreat will have teaching, personal reflection, meaningful activity and group sharing revolving around drawing close to God to be healed and strengthened for the journey of leadership. Depending on the needs discussed, the retreat will be tailored using Scripture, creative resources, reflection exercises and forms of prayer.
Outcome: Leaders will have space to encounter the healing Grace of God that desires to clarify and empower leaders to servant-lead with integrity, vision and courage.
Serving God His Way (A Ministry Philosophy Primer)
Suitable For: Pastors, Staff and Leaders
Duration: Sermon (optional) + 3 Hours (Sermon + Workshop)
Description: All of our methods sit atop our theology and philosophy. While Jesus has not left us instructions on any ideal structure, He has left us truths we can glean from His life, teaching and the rest of the New Testament. Being a primer, we will walk through Paul’s 2 Corinthians 9 as a launchpad to start thinking about what really motivates and shapes our ministry values and priorities.
Outcome: To be encouraged to be able to reconsider and realign one’s motivations, measures and methods in ministry with Scriptural values.
Foliage is Not Fruit + Finding Fruit in My Life
Suitable For: All
Duration: 2 Hours (Sermon + Workshop)
Description: The sermon is on distinguishing worldly success from godly fruitfulness. We look at our heart’s inclinations and recommit to God’s values. The workshop follows up with deepening the understanding of fruitfulness and an exercise about what fruit God is seeking to grow in our lives.
Outcome: Participants will be both challenged and encouraged that God’s way of seeing life is freeing, empowering and life-giving. They will be able to identify and nurture the fruit that God is seeking to grow in their lives.
Soul Conversations / Spiritual Direction
Suitable For: Mature believers and leaders
Duration: 2 Hours (by appointment)
Description: Ps. Jenni Huan employs three-way listening as she facilitates a conversation that allows the individual to share freely, and her to discern what the Spirit is speaking. The discernment and possible resources that may help in next steps are then shared. Prayer wraps up the conversation.
Outcome: Person leaves with assurance and clarity that comes with sharing honestly, with an openness to consider the Spirit’s working and leading.
Book-based Group Study & Reflections
Suitable For: Small groups of 5-12 people
Duration: Up to 10 sessions
Description: This is for those who recognize that good reading augments discipleship and would like to share their questions, doubts and struggles with others in the same season.
Outcome: Participants will develop clearer convictions about the subject and through group interaction and ministry work out these convictions practically in their lives.
