Description:

The apostle Paul once said, “For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers…” When a church invests in mentoring, leaders and members will not be alone in serving God, and will not feel like orphans in the challenges of life. Let us journey together in building a culture of mentoring in our community!

Preaching Internship

Preaching Internship

Description:

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in preaching and teaching. (1 Tim 5:17) The preaching and teaching gift is developed from small group word settings, to ministry devotional settings, to pulpit settings. Investing in a few who will labour and grow these skills will go a long way in improving the quality of learning, establishing a church that is rooted in and guided by God’s word.

Modules/Learning Outcomes:

  • Discover the key tenets of preaching to mind, heart and will in sermon craft
  • Practise preparing and delivering a devotional sharing
  • Receive coaching in preparation and delivery of sermonettes, devotions


Course Commitment: 1/52h session, 23 sessions


Suitable For: Lay Preachers, Zone Leaders / Overseers tasked with regular devotion/teaching

Mentoring Conversations

Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us.” Romans 15:1 MSG. Have the heart to mentor but unsure how you should go about it? Or maybe you desire to have more authentic and spirit-filled conversations with your mentee? Allow us to partner with you and the spirit as you shepherd God’s flock and help your mentee walk in God’s ways.



Learning Outcomes: 

  • Discover an approach to mentoring conversations
  • Learn the 4 spiritual directions of a mentoring conversation

Course Commitment: 3-month coaching journey that includes classroom-learning (video-teachings & coaching sessions of approx 2 x 1.5h), projects and follow ups
