Nehemiah was not a prophet, neither a teacher nor a pastor. Rather, he was an entrepreneur in the marketplace. Yet there is a book in the Bible solely dedicated to his work project that holds lessons for us, lessons that have an impact that is eternal and leaves a legacy.

Track Description:

Leaving school and entering the marketplace, are we prepared to cope with a new rhythm and way of life? How do we navigate rising the corporate ladder, changing jobs or retrenchment? Change often seems like a bad thing but there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Join us as we look at all of Joseph’s transitions, and see how God uses transitions to build up and position us.

  • Study and learn from Joseph’s transitions
    • The person God moves with
    • The person God favours
    • The person God makes fruitful
    • The person God transforms

Track Description:

What is the purpose of work? Is there a calling from God in my workplace? This track seeks to address issues many marketplace workers face, as we learn from God’s word to be convicted of our roles and call in the marketplace, and how to thrive and fulfill His destiny for us.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn from biblical teaching that will shape our convictions in the aspects of:
    • Perspectives: What you see shapes your attitudes, mind and heart
    • Performance: Having credibility by having a standard in what you say or do
    • Perseverance: The final measure of character is when we grow to overcome and stand in the place or behaviour God calls us to


Course Commitment: 3 sessions of 2.5 hours each
