Description:

Similar to how two lenses in a pair of spectacles or binoculars provide depth of field, there are two lenses needed to look at small group leaders with depth – the lens of mentoring which looks at the holistic life of the leader, and the other lens of coaching which looks at leadership skills for small group ministry. This track will help you to become a better mentor and provide greater support to the small group leaders under your care.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discover a model to facilitate a mentoring conversation
  • Study how Jesus coached his disciples and learn to coach through ministry skills


Course Commitment: 2-3h per Module for each Mentor


Suitable For: Zone Leaders, Overseers, Area Pastors / Interns & Candidates

Description:

Description:

As with all other relationships, no one size fits all when it comes to mentormentee relationships. With different personalities and learning styles comes different mentoring styles. As a mentor, when you are able to identify your mentee’s needs and leverage on your strengths while filling in the gaps, you’ll bring out the best in your mentee in a mutually beneficial relationship!

  • Discover your personal mentoring style
  • Identify the needs of the cell leaders under your care
  • Learn to leverage your strengths and manage the gaps

Peak of Health – Zonal overall health

Peak of Health – Zonal overall health

Description:

If God could use small groups in history, why can’t He use your groups, your zone? To reach the peak of health, the incline requires energy and effort, but the results make it worth it, just like climbing a mountain. Zone leaders take on the role of a guide, to lead and shepherd several small groups of believers towards the peak of health.

Modules/Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn the different levels of health in the zone
  • Develop concrete plans for zonal health
  • Integrate skills of mentoring, cell health and more into a zonal plan


Course Commitment: 1.5h per module over 2 modules with project

Description:

Just as the roots of a tree are important for drawing nutrients from the ground, and the leaves for receiving sunlight, the middle trunk is also important as it transports precious resources up and down the tree. The overseer level of small groups functions like that important middle trunk, mentoring and caring for small group leaders, overseeing and thinking strategically about small group health, and the health of the zone or cluster, for greater spiritual impact

Modules/Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn to mentor, coach and care for small group leaders
  • Study scripture and identify signs that reflect healthy and vibrant biblical small group communities
  • Discover how to build up the health of the zone, area or cluster


Course Commitment: 23 hours

Levelling One-Up: Group Health Coaching for Overseers

The Overseer is the shepherd’s shepherd.

He/she plays an important role in mentoring and coaching the Cell-Group Leader. This serves to give care and guidance to the CG Leader on what steps to take in building up a healthy cell group.

May our leaders not lack for shepherds that care for and guide them!

“…he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart,  and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.”  (Psalms 78:72, NKJV)

Learning Outcomes:

  • Equip Overseers in the tenets of what constitutes a healthy Cell-Group
  • Understanding 5 indicators of Cell-Group health
  • Developing a Tool-Box of ideas to resource CG leaders
  • Beginning the process of diagnosing the strength/weaknesses of CGs & how to resource the Leader


Course Commitment: 3-month coaching journey that includes classroom-learning (video-teachings & coaching sessions of approx 2 x 1.5h), projects and follow ups
